Event Details

Accounting for 22% of Cambodia's GDP and employing 3 million people, the agricultural sector in the Kingdom of Cambodia is critically important to the overall success of the economy. Over the last decade, trade and investment in this sector has dramatically increased, bringing with it new opportunities and developments. Join us in this exclusive webinar, where we discuss the latest updates in agricultural trade and investment.

Hear from the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Foreign Agricultural Service's Senior Agricultural Attaché Ben Petlock, who will report on Agricultural trade in the region and with the United States; he will also highlight some USDA programs in Cambodia.

The USDA is funding a major aquaculture development project in Cambodia as part of the U.S. Government's international food security support program. The project is known as CAST, the Commercialization of Aquaculture for Sustainable Trade, and is managed by the American Soybean Association. We will have an update on this two-year-old project from Jim Hershey, Chief of Party, CAST Cambodia. Then, we have Patrick Davenport, representing BRM Agro, which has heavily invested in rice farming and production and another American, Daniel Rothenberg of Baby Bird Farm, who promotes and grows organic fruits, vegetables, and other value-added products.

American interest in Cambodian agricultural trade and investment has never been higher. Find out why on Monday, September 20 at 10:00am on AmCham Cambodia's Facebook page at https://fb.me/e/1iBBQJ2Im
