Founded in 1996, The American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (AmCham Cambodia) supports, advocates and promotes forward-looking Public and Private Sector collaborations that contribute to the regional and global advancement of the Cambodian business environment, professional development and technological innovation in the overall achievement of meaningful, diversified economic growth.

AmCham would like to invite you to the next ICT Committee meeting which will be held virtually on May 10, 2022 from 2:00pm-2:45pm.

AmCham's ICT Committee has played an active role in Cambodia since 2016, in particular focused on:

- Understanding new regulations and laws that impact the digital and technology sectors, including eCommerce, Data Privacy, Security, online sales registration and licensing and more;

- Collecting input from AmCham members to provide to the Royal Government of Cambodia, with regard to the impact of policy an legislation

- Supporting the Cambodian technology startup ecosystem

- Raising awareness of tech startups through the regular Demo Cambodia showcases that have taken place at Raintree and online

With the expanding interest in digital and technology in Cambodia, and the growing impact of the American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, we are ready to expand the committee and its areas of focus to better serve our members and the community.

We invite you to join this next ICT committee meeting where we plan to do the following:

1. Elect a Chairperson, Vice Chair, and Secretary to lead the committee. These individuals should be passionate about ICT, digital and new technology, and can volunteer at least a few hours per month.

2. Gather ideas for quarterly ICT activities, either to continue the Demo Cambodia startup showcase and to enhance or improve this event, or to add additional events and activities.

3. Understand key concerns and questions with regard to digital and technology policy and legislation in Cambodia.

4. Determine how AmCham Members can play a more active role in supporting the ICT and tech startup community in Cambodia

5. Plan for a Digital Week in September to be organized and run by AmCham

This next ICT meeting will take place online, and ideally, we can keep this meeting to 45 minutes as we know you are all busy. Please feel free to invite your colleagues to this event, or anyone else who is an AmCham member and interested to be involved in shaping the ICT future of Cambodia.
