Event Details

AmCham would like to invite you to our second CSR Committee meeting which will be held virtually on Friday from 2:00pm-2:45pm.

AmCham has prioritized Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) this year. In particular, we have recently launched several exciting initiatives to support the community.

• Starting May 1, AmCham will allocate 10% of all membership fees for CSR activities. We are excited to announce that AmCham is the first Chamber not just in Cambodia but the region to do so.

• In May, Prey Veng province will officially be declared as the second mine-free province in Cambodia, in part due to AmCham's donation to the Cambodian Mine Action Authority.

• Earlier this month, AmCham sponsored the Final Ceremony to celebrate the success of the young women who have participated in the Women Entrepreneurs ACT Program, which is a five-year project that supports young women entrepreneurs to strengthen their skills, business linkages, and participation with relevant associations.

Now, we are ready to formalize this committee and have our Members lead the way. Since we are allocating your membership fees to CSR, we would love to have your input on how we spend this month. How can AmCham make a maximum impact on our community?

We invite you to join the committee meeting where we want to do the following:

1. Elect a Chairperson, Vice Chair, and Secretary to lead the committee. These individuals should be passionate about CSR and can volunteer a few hours per month.

2. Gather ideas for quarterly CSR activities

3. Determine how AmCham Members can play a more active role in supporting the community

4. Identify potential recipients for CSR funds/activities

Ideally, we can keep this meeting to 45 minutes as we know you are all busy. Please feel free to invite your colleagues to this virtual as well, as we want to have a strong committee to carry out these CSR activities. See you then!
