Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a company's sense of responsibility toward the community and the environment in which it operates. As a proud supporter of CSR, AmCham Cambodia is creating a new CSR Advocacy Committee in order to encourage and facilitate more CSR activities in the private sector.

All AmCham members are invited to join our inaugural meeting, which will be held on Zoom on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 4-5pm. That means you can join from your office, your phone, your home, or anywhere!

Anyone can join this committee – you just need to have an interest in supporting your community.

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

1) Discussing annual AmCham CSR events. These could be low-monetary events, such as a riverbank cleaning, blood drive, etc, where each member encourages their employees to take part.

2) Choosing the recipient for the proceeds from the AmCham Charity Golf Tournament

3) Facilitating CSR activities for our members from abroad. There are several members, or potential members, that do now have a large presence in the Cambodian market, but might be interested to sponsor CSR events. The committee could match external members with vetted in country programs.

4) Helping to gain press coverage for all member CSR events.

5) Facilitate the annual CSR Awards and Event.

6) Organize the annual CSR Khmer Times supplement.

7) Partner with the embassy when and where appropriate.

8) Recommendations to the board on how to use AmCham funds for CSR
