All around the world, women are creating incredible change through leadership empowerment through their contributions in society. In recent years, both men and women have been well-recognized in leadership roles in carrying out the essential obligations based on their positions at the workplace, but women in particular gravitate toward development, mentoring, and coaching to empower people, effecting greater change and adaptability in the organization.

In this panel discussion, our special guest speakers will concentrate on the qualities that women contribute to the role of a leader in the times of a crisis, specifically on how women are empowering leadership to challenge gender dynamics and improve lives based on personal experiences as leaders.

Sophia Altamirano is the Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing of Raffles Hotel Le Royal and Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor under Accor, one of the largest operating hospitality chain in the world. With over 15 years of experience under Accor hotels alone, Sophia has managed a diverse portfolio of hotel brands in Southeast Asia, including Grand Mercure, Novotel, Pullman, MGallery, Sofitel, and Raffles. Her decades of successful experience in providing leadership, direction for commercial strategies, revenue management, brand, digital, and PR has provided her with a holistic view of marketing and proven strategies for executing successful campaigns to achieve the hotels’ commercial objectives. In addition, she has lived and traveled abroad extensively, bringing a global viewpoint to leading teams and tactics that reflect the diversity of associates and consumers in today’s world. Joining Raffles Cambodia in 2019, she has found love and passion in Cambodia, developing and enabling young Heartists to be future leaders.
